Palawan Getaway!

Yesterday, Danny and I brought the girls to the airport (with my Dad, of course) for a three-week vacation in Palawan, because their yaya is having her vacation, whether we like it or not..hehe.

This is the first time the girls will be away from us for a long time (3 weeks, can you imagine?!) and days before their flight, we were missing them already! My only consolation is that the girls are very excited about this vacation because I promised them that my Mom and Dad will bring them to the beach and that there is a swimming pool (yung inflatable lang..hehe) at my parents' house and they can swim everyday! Of course, my Mom and Dad and my only sister are very excited, too!

Thank God, they had a safe flight! Here's how my 1st night without the girls went: Super dramatic! I cried (i know, OA, haha!) because it's just not the same without the girls. So this morning, I arrived at the office with puffy eyes, haha!

Anyway, I just called the girls and they are super having fun in Palawan! My Mom and Dad and my sister are also happy with the little girls running around the house, so enough with my kasentihan. Now, I am actually thinking of letting the girls visit my parents every summer - that way, the girls will develop a close relationship with my Mom and Dad, and Danny and I can also spend some quality time together, hmn... :D

Two things happen when parents lose their temper with their children. One, they get really, really mad that they hurt their children's feelings. Two, they feel twice their children's pain, which is the worst feeling parents could ever have! Okay, I am not sure if this applies to all parents out there or sa 'kin lang, dahil super senti ako..hehe.

I remember one time I got so mad over Sofia's behavior, I shouted at her and she got so scared of me, the look on her face broke my heart. Then one time I was trying to ignore Tallulah and Sofia because they were fighting (and crying at the same time, imagine that!), Tallulah mumbled while she was crying, "You are not mommy.." and my heart was crushed. Drama 'no? Hehe.

When I am probably having PMS (yup, it's the only thing to blame, i guess..hehe), I sometimes lose my patience over my kids when they get so rowdy. When that happens, I tell them I am sorry (because I've also done something unacceptable) and then I go back to dealing with their misbehavior...in a calm manner.

Being a parent really requires a great deal of patience, and really, Danny and I feel so blessed to have Sofia and Tallulah, and so I pray that we will always be the best parents for them.

Just Another Disney Story

Here's Sofia's latest addiction - "The Little Mermaid: Ariel's Beginnings." She has watched it for several times already, and this afternoon, we watched the film again.

So there's this part where Ariel and her sisters are about to take their usual morning walk with King Triton, and I asked Sofia, "Are they going for a walk now?" She answered, "They're not walking. They don't have feet."

Oo nga naman.
